I enjoyed drawing and painting as a child and it was one of my best subjects at school. Through my working life, study and work commitments seemed to preclude continuing, but I vowed I would take it up as a hobby on retirement.
Soon after retiring in 2007, I joined Nepean Art Society and have since concentrated on Watercolour, attending classes run by Joe Cartwright and Frank Hodgert as well as workshops run by Julie Simmons, Ross Patterson, Charles Sluga and Jackie Pearson. Their effort and input has been invaluable and inspiring.
I have recently decided to try acrylics which requires a different approach and feel I am having some success. I settled on using Atelier Interactive Acrylic paints and find them easy to control for my acrylic work and for watercolour I use artist quality Winsor and Newton which I find very consistent.
I have selected a few of my exhibited paintings below for your interest and invite you to see more of my interests and works at my website: www.chrispearson.info
